The Opening Bid is an independently operated publication by Charles Lehigh. In these policies, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Charles Lehigh operating The Opening Bid. Using The Opening Bid

These terms describe the conditions for using our website and memberships. If you do not agree, do not create an account or purchase a subscription. The Privacy policy explains our information practices, and the Subscriptions & cancellation policy explains billing and refunds.

Educational content

Our articles, analyses, and learning materials are for general information and education. They are not personalized investment, legal, or tax advice, an offer to buy or sell securities, or a guarantee of investment performance. Estimates and analysis can be wrong. Verify information independently before relying on it. Fictional teaching cases are labeled.

Your account

Provide an email address you control and keep sign-in links private. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact the editor if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share paid account access or use the service unlawfully.

Content and acceptable use

You may use the publication for your personal reading and learning. Do not reproduce or redistribute paid articles or learning materials without permission, except as permitted by applicable law. Do not bypass access controls, interfere with the website, or attempt to access another person's information. Third-party names, trademarks, and linked materials belong to their respective owners.

Paid memberships

Paid plans are available only when checkout is enabled. The checkout page displays the price and billing frequency before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Annual memberships are charged in full each year. Review the Subscriptions & cancellation policy before subscribing. The Analyst plan is not available until its offering is ready.

Accuracy, availability, and changes

We aim for accurate reporting and identify material corrections in articles. We do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or free from error, or that access will be uninterrupted. Contact the editor to report an error. Content and features may change; material changes to a paid subscription will be communicated as required by law.

Your rights and support

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. For account issues, corrections, or billing concerns, use Contact the editor.

Updates to these terms

Updates will be posted here with a revised effective date. We will provide additional notice or obtain agreement where required by law. Changes do not remove rights that already apply to a purchase.
